Farrago Productions is the public persona of the Farrago Media enterprise. By bringing live production to the literary, visual, and sonic arts, we create events that represent the unique foci of our literary magazine, Farrago's Wainscot, and our art/culture weblog, Farrago's F.M.I. All our events facilitate donations-based fund raising—the proceeds from these collections go directly to covering Farrago Media's operating costs, paying its contributors or featured artists, or advertising the Farrago Media enterprise. The editors and managers behind Farrago Media do not retain any of these funds.
We neither associate with nor promote vanity publishing or other forms of predatory artistic distribution. Participants in our events embody independent artistic spirit, and we, in turn, support the distribution of their art via both respectable, grassroots channels and traditional, non-fee-charging, royalty-granting production houses. We believe there is a difference between exploiting under-represented voices in mainstream artistic media and assisting those voices with finding beneficial channels for independent distribution.
